Gen3 FlatMount options

We have several Gen 3 flat mounting options available.

One is the Starlink official mount that we have recently taken into stock which are $250. These are ok but offer no protection of the terminal.

We have a second version that is also a budget option but offers a little more protection that we make here in Australia. $499

The third is still in production and available in a few weeks, it is the top of the range and we have used the design for some time with the Gen 2 version.

This bullet proof, IP68 Waterproof design has been used on everything from Cars, to Boats to Trucks and has never failed.

It is far more expensive but virtually indestructible. $1700.

Here are two videos that feature the design for Gen 2, Gen 3 will be the same but bigger with no cutting needed.

The cost of $1,700 is just for the housing, these are not cheap to produce and now the dish is bigger, the housings are bigger and the production costs have gone up. Your Starlink kit will be on top of that and there are 3 options for this:

  1. You send the dish to us, and we install it into the housing for you (this will incur a $150 labour charge)
  2. We can buy the dish for you and install it into the housing for you (again this will incur a $150 labour charge)
  3. We send all the components to you, and you install the dish into the housing yourself.

So, a price break down looks roughly like this:

  1. Housing $1,700
  2. Starlink if we supply $599 (standard price), we will send the KIT number so all you have to do is put a plan on it.
  3. StarPower V2 $399
  4. 12v router $151
  5. 12v regulated power supply $50
  6. Then shipping for one unit would be roughly $85, then an extra $50 per unit thereafter. We can get a more accurate shipping cost once we have shipping details.

If you wanted to lower the cost and are happy to use just the Starlink Gen3 router for the Gen3 Starlink. Then you could remove items 4 & 5 above and get the V3 StarPower (same price). Then you can use it 12v with the Starlink router. Again, this will only work for the Gen3.

Then there are a few optional extras to consider:

  1. Mounting rails for the housing $110
  2. Circuit braker $40
  3. 12v remote relay $60

We use the last 2 items for all or our 12v installs.

I have included a photo below of one of our 12v installs done in a caravan, just for reference to how it could look when all fitted.

ETA: The new housings are not ready yet, so we would be looking at approx. 3/4 weeks before we have these, but they are worth the wait.

While we do come across as the more expensive option than others out there (and we have replaced a few of the other options out there with ours for customers too), please know we do pride ourselves in everything we make and do. It is all of a high standard & quality and tested heavily by us before we let it out into the public.

We have so many of our Gen2 version out there, more than we ever thought we would have, from cars, trucks, boats, and even heavy machinery.

Our flat mounts have been put to the test, 110+kms down the highway attached by the magnets we sell with no problems at all.

We have tested it by throwing it into the bottom of a pool for 48hrs and opened it up without a drop of water inside.

Luke from Drifta camping & 4WD has one of our Gen2 flat mounts installed on his rig and has not long ago completed the Canning Stock Route and no trouble with it at all.

The housings have been put to the test with our Gen2 version, so we know that they are rock solid and is why we have stuck with the same for the Gen3. We have the Gen2 version on vehicles for RioTinto, another company has 1 currently on a dredge Mudlark over in WA, with 5 more to be dispatched soon for the same company in both WA and SA (they are extremely impressed) and we are also a sponsor for the Energized Racing team, with one of our Gen2 flat mounts been put to the test on car #999.
